Food for the Soul

Sometimes all you need is a solo trip to the museum. May 6, 2009, MoMA, NYC. On the iPod: Radiohead (of course)

Jackson Pollock One: Number 31 1950, 1950

Jackson Pollock, Easter and the Totem, 1953

Lee Krasner, Gaea,1966

My favorite artist as a little girl was Marc Chagall. I still have a soft spot for him.
Marc Chagall, I and the Village 1911

Pablo Picasso, Girl before a Mirror, 1932

Mattias Megyeri

Ingo Maurer

Food for the soul indeed! Beautiful photos of beautiful art. I love the last one especially. The coral color is so soothing, and gives it a nice, warm ambiance. Such a nice change from the stark-white of museums.
Thank you for sharing!
Oh, and I came across your blog here on a link from Holly Becker's Decor8. I was hoping for an update, after seeing all of the lovely things posted in your past history!

Hi Tina,
I think sometimes a trip to the museum is better than a trip to the spa. It's inspiring, invigorating and relaxing all at the same time. I love Holly and Decor8! I'm a HUGE fan of hers. Thanks for visiting my blog. Please check back again soon.
xo,
Kahi

You are my dream woman! Why don't I ever run into women like you at the museum?

I miss living in New York. I live in Raleigh now. I love it here but I miss the art and culture.
