HGTV Design On A Dime: Patio Makeover for Under $1000

I've received several emails after the airing of our latest Design On A Dime episode, many asking the same three questions. Here are the answers. Hope this helps!
Q: What type of material was used on the pergola to create shade and where can I get it?
A: It's called sun screen and is available at Lowe's.

Q: Where did you purchase the patio furniture?
A: The furniture came from a variety of places. The chairs came from a thrift store, I found the coffee table on Craigslist and the loveseat is from Ikea. I painted all the furniture pieces white to match. I also made new cushion covers to match our gray and yellow color scheme.

Q: Where did you get the chandelier?
A: I purchased the chandelier from a thrift store for about $25 and spray painted it a bright yellow.
Below are some photos of the makeover. The homeowners wanted a patio that was a little bit country and a little bit Hollywood Regency. This is what we came up with. By the way, I do not recommend doing a patio makeover in 100+ degree weather. Yikes. We went through gallons of lemonade and almost as much sunblock.

How funny that I ran across your blog tonight, I was doing a google image search from something completely unrelated and the patio pic popped up. We are in the process of installing our own patio, all we have left to do is install our border and I couldn't find a stone that was the color I wanted, then I remembered seeing this show and how you guys stained the flagstone. We did the same thing and it's looking great so far. Should be finished in a few days. I was wondering if you did anything special to make the chandelier safe for outdoor use?

I absolutely loved loved this patio. I love gray, white and yellow. I just decorated my bedroom in those colors. One day when I have a patio (or a house for that matter), I hope to get as creative as you all.
